Start your trial with your store address
Sign up and give your store's address, such as
yourstore.comoryourstore.myshopify.com. Syntalyze reads your storefront, product pages included, and builds its knowledge from them. -
Copy your snippet
In the client portal, open the Dashboard and choose Deploy chatbot. Your public key is under Settings, Knowledge Silos. The snippet looks like this:

Paste it into theme.liquid
In Shopify admin, go to Online Store. On your current theme, open the ... menu and choose Edit code. Open
layout/theme.liquid, paste the snippet just above the closing</body>tag, and save.Want to try it first? Duplicate the theme, paste into the copy, and preview it before you publish.

Questions
Do I need a Shopify app to use Syntalyze?
No. Syntalyze is added to your theme with two script tags, the same way it is added to any website. There is nothing to install from the Shopify App Store, and billing is with Syntalyze, not through Shopify.
Will the assistant appear on the checkout page?
No. Shopify does not let themes add scripts to checkout, so the assistant shows on your storefront pages: home, collections, products, cart and your own pages.
How does it learn my products?
You give Syntalyze your store address and it reads your storefront, product pages included. When you add products, ask it to read the site again from the client portal. Starter includes 10 re-reads or document uploads a month.
My store is password protected. Can it still read it?
Not while the password page is on, because it reads the store the way a visitor does. Upload your product details and policies as documents instead, then point it at the store once you open.
Can it look up a customer's order?
Not on Starter, which answers from your pages and documents. Order status in the chat is a Professional workflow that calls your order data. Contact us before you plan around it.
What happens when I update or change my theme?
A new theme starts without the snippet, so paste it in before you publish the theme. A theme update keeps your edit unless it conflicts with the update, so check the snippet is still there afterwards.
