AI agents · Professional and Enterprise
Your assistant, inside the AI agents your customers use.
More customers now ask an AI assistant, such as ChatGPT or Claude, to find a product or sort out a problem. Switch on your Syntalyze endpoint and those assistants can use yours, through MCP, the standard way AI agents connect to a service. The customer gets your answers, your products, your fixes and your team, not a guess from the open web.
See it working
A customer, their own AI assistant, and your business.
Recorded in Claude, with the TechStore demo shop's address added as a connector. Nothing was set up in Claude beyond that. The waits while the assistant works are sped up. All three together, in one video.
What an agent can do
The same assistant, wherever the customer asks.
Answer questions
About your products, services and policies, from your own content, with sources.
Find products
The products that fit what the customer needs, with links to your store pages and the specifications you hold.
Show how to do something
Step by step, with screens for the customer’s own make where you have them.
Troubleshoot a fault
From what the customer can describe, offering your fixes in order and a repair when they do not work.
Run the journeys you choose
Such as checking an order, returning an item or booking a repair, through the same steps as your chat, identity check included.
Hand the customer to your team
With a summary of the conversation, so they do not have to repeat themselves.
What it cannot do
Take a payment, run a journey you have not switched on, or reach a customer’s account other than through a journey’s own identity check. An agent only gets what your chatbot already gives.
Set up
Four steps, no developer.
-
Switch it on
In the client portal, open Settings, AI agents and turn the switch on. It is there on Professional and Enterprise. Then switch on any journeys you want agents to run, such as order tracking or booking a repair.
-
Copy your address
Your endpoint address appears under the switch, with your own key in it, ready to copy. It is the address you give to an AI assistant, or to whoever builds your agents.
-
Add it to an AI assistant
In an assistant that accepts MCP servers, add the address as a custom connector. The address answers AI agents, not web browsers, so it will not open as a page.
-
Ask it by name
Name your business in the request, so the assistant uses your connector rather than its own knowledge. The settings page has these prompts with your name already in:
“Ask [your business] [a question your customers often ask].”
“Use [your business] to find me [one of your products].”
“Ask [your business] how to [something your customers do].”
“My [product] has stopped working. Use [your business] to work out what’s wrong.”
“Use [your business] to [check my order, or another journey you have switched on].”
“I’d like to speak to someone at [your business].”
Cost and control
Counted, reported and yours to switch off.
Counted like a chat
Each AI agent conversation counts towards your plan’s monthly conversations, the same as a chat on your website. There is no separate charge.
Reported on its own
Your reports show AI agent conversations as a source of their own, so you can see what agents ask apart from your chatbot.
Off when you say
One switch. Agents are turned away from their next request, and the endpoint closes by itself if your plan moves below Professional.
For developers
The endpoint, in detail.
One MCP server per business, named by the public key its website chatbot already uses. The transport is MCP Streamable HTTP in stateless mode: send JSON-RPC by POST, with Accept: application/json, text/event-stream. There is no API key, because an agent cannot hold one for every business it visits; the endpoint is off until the business switches it on.
POST https://bureauservices.syntalyze.com/api/ai-agent/v1/{public key}/mcp With Claude Code, for example:
claude mcp add --transport http yourbusiness https://bureauservices.syntalyze.com/api/ai-agent/v1/{public key}/mcp | Tool | Does | Inputs |
|---|---|---|
ask | A question about products, services or policies, answered from your content with citations. | question, conversationId, productType, deviceModel, language |
how_to | The steps for a task the customer already knows they want, with screen images for their make. | task, deviceModel, conversationId, productType, language |
troubleshoot | First the problems matching a symptom, each with ranked fixes; then one problem by issueId; then fixes tried, until a repair is offered. | symptom, issueId, conversationId, triedFixId, deviceModel, productType, language |
find_products | Up to 10 of your products closest to a need or a name, each with link, category, maker, specifications and a match score from 0 to 1. | need, limit, conversationId, language |
list_journeys | The journeys you have opened to agents, each with its journeyId, name and what it covers. | (none) |
start_journey | Starts one of those journeys and returns its first step: a prompt to relay, and what kind of reply moves it on. | journeyId, language |
continue_journey | Sends the customer’s reply to the current step and returns the next; with no reply, reads the current step again while your systems work. | journeyRunId, reply |
hand_to_person | Hands the conversation to your team, with a summary and what was already suggested. | conversationId, reason |
- Every result is JSON in one text block and carries a
conversationId. Send it on the next call to keep the conversation together; a hand-off uses it to show your team the whole exchange. - A refusal, such as the monthly allowance being used up, comes back as a tool error, so the agent can tell the customer.
- Languages are BCP-47 tags in regional form, such as
en-GB; without one, the business’s own language is used. - Calls are limited to 60 a minute for each caller and business.
- An address that is switched off, below Professional or unknown answers
404, the same in each case.
Questions
Will AI agents find my business on their own?
Not yet. Today a person adds your address to their AI assistant as a connector, or a business that builds agents adds it to theirs. Switching the endpoint on makes your assistant available to them; it does not list you anywhere.
Which AI assistants can use it?
Any assistant or agent that accepts an MCP server address, which is the standard way AI agents connect to outside services. Claude and ChatGPT both let users add custom connectors.
Which plans include it?
Professional and Enterprise. It is off until you switch it on, and it closes by itself if a plan moves below Professional.
Does it cost extra?
No. Each AI agent conversation counts towards your plan’s monthly conversations, the same as a chat on your website. When the allowance is used up, the agent is told so, as your chatbot would be.
Can an agent see my customers’ accounts or take payment?
It cannot take a payment. It reaches a customer’s account only through a journey you have switched on for agents, and that journey checks who the customer is with its own identity step first, exactly as in your chat. Nothing an agent says about the customer is taken as proof of who they are.
Where do a customer’s personal details go when an agent runs a journey?
Through the customer’s own AI assistant. On your website, a journey asks for details such as a name or postcode in a secure form. Through an agent, the customer types them to their assistant, such as ChatGPT or Claude, which passes them to your journey. That assistant’s provider sees them under its own terms, which the customer has agreed to. We store them as we store any conversation, encrypted. Keep this in mind when you choose which journeys to switch on.
Which journeys can an agent run?
Only the ones you switch on, one by one, under Settings, AI agents. A journey can look up or change things in your systems with no one from your team watching, so every journey starts switched off. Only published journeys that customers can start appear in the list. Each journey an agent starts counts as a conversation.
How do I see what agents ask?
AI agent conversations appear in your reports as a source of their own, apart from your chatbot, and a hand-off reaches your team with the conversation attached.
Can I switch it off?
Yes, at any time, under Settings, AI agents. Agents are turned away from their next request.
Do I need a developer?
No. Switching it on is one switch, and the address is ready to copy. The developer section on this page is for anyone building their own agent against it.
Be there when customers ask an AI assistant.
Start on any plan, move to Professional when you want AI agents to use your assistant, and switch it on in Settings.
